Jeff Bates is a talented singer, musician and songwriter. RCA Records recognized his talent and signed Jeff to their label, in 2002. Since then, Jeff produced a top 20 album for RCA with his debut album, "Rainbow Man" and his second album is scheduled for release, April 11, 2006. The new one is called, " Leave The Light On."
Jeff's fans are all fired up and ready to rush out and buy the album, memorize every word in each song and then convince every man, woman and child within earshot of them, to rush out and buy a few copies of their own. That's their mission. They want to love, support and promote Jeff Bates, in the way, they feel he should be promoted, loved and supported. Jeff's fans are quick to tell you, that it isn't "just" his voice, that has them sold on him. Each fan seems to have a story to tell, a memory they hold dear to their heart and a reason for believing in Jeff. Jeff's fans believe that Jeff is, " Good People."
So far, Jeff hasn't proven them wrong. Jeff has taken the time to get to know a lot of his fans and he has made a lasting impression on most, who have taken the time to get to know him. Jeff is a "people person." He is a caring and very grateful, person.
When meeting Jeff, one of the first things most will notice is, he is humble and maybe even a tad bit, modest. Jeff sees himself as the least sexiest "anything," and he has managed to stay "grounded" & true to himself and his values. His fans sense his sincerity, his meekness and also appreciate the attention he bestows upon them, when they have a chance to meet & talk with him. Whatever theory, rhyme or reason, fans have for supporting Jeff Bates, all of them seem to readily agree on one thing....Jeff is
"one of them" and he genuinely cares for his fellow man.
Jeff's fans, are caring people also. They care for Jeff, his management, the band and most any & everything else, associated with Jeff Bates...particularly ...fellow fans. Some of his fans have formed lasting and meaningful relationships with other fans.. whom they have met, because of their mutual love & support of Jeff. They keep in touch via telephone, mail, email and online Message Boards and websites, that have been set up across the internet.
Offline; fans may not be in the same state, share the same name, same occupation, interests, likes, dislikes and such...but,they all share in loving and wanting to support Jeff and his music. The same holds true, online. All Jeff Bates fans, won't be found on any one particular website or space. You may find larger numbers gathered at one place, as opposed to other sites that are popping up on the internet for Jeff but,who cares where they are, as long as they are all gathered in "some" place for Jeff?
Some view growth and additions as some sort of sign of trouble, competition or division among fans...I don't see it that way...probably because...I never intended it, that way. Therefore,
there's no reason for concern, on my behalf. Additional websites and Message Boards across the internet for Jeff are actually a "positive" move in the right direction and a sure sign of his growing popularity and diversity of online,fans. Expansion, shouldn't be perceived as " division" among Jeff's fans because... that isn't the case here.
Division and friction, are not a part, of what Jeff Bates stands for. Like most of us, Jeff has suffered his share of division & friction, during his lifetime. Jeff is now, living his dream and has worked very hard to try to put all the "bad" behind him and move forward with a renewed spirit and attitude toward life and what seems to be, an unusual amount of interest and concern for the fans, who love and support him.
Jeff Bates and anything or body, associated with him and his "crew" ...represent the kind of "Good & Decency," people are hungry for. Jeff & Good People, aren't about friction, discord and division.....neither am I.
I am a Jeff Bates fan. Like so many other fans, I am not "just" a fan of the music.

I am so.. because I believe in Jeff . He serves as a reminder to me, that we can not only dream in America but, we can pursue and make our dreams come true...if we apply ourselves. True, we may not always get everything; in and out of life that we "pursue" but, sometimes, the things we learn during our pursuit of happiness and contentment, mold and make us better, wiser and happier people than we would have been...had we given up and settled for whatever hand, life dealt for us.
Jeff is living proof that sometimes, it takes the darkest hours and lowest times in our lives, to make us better, stronger people. That isn't a cliche' or just something that sounds good or looks good on paper. It's real life, real people and real lessons learned. You can read it in the lyrics of Jeff's songs, you can feel it in the music he plays and you can hear that "cry" in his voice, as he sings about pain.

Jeff is the kind of person I want, representing me in today's songs and the overall, country music industry. He is everything decent, good and down-home. I respect Jeff and everything he stands for.
I would NEVER, ever, ever, everrrrrrrrrr... do anything.. that I thought might bring disgrace, dishonor or shame, to his name. I didn't build this website to divide or disband his fans on the internet. I built this place to unite and band together with others, to HONOR Jeff . This is my way of saying," Thanks Jeff," for all you have given to me.
BUT..Fear, is a natural reaction to the "UNKNOWN." Nobody likes change and nobody likes to feel threatened...as most of us, are creatures of habit. So, I expected to be "talked about," questioned and even somewhat, feared....because basically....I am the unknown.
I haven't met a lot of Jeff's fans, haven't went on any group ventures, posted regular at any website or anything for Jeff and I have only had the privilege of meeting him a couple of times so...I'm not exactly who or what folks were expecting to "try to start a website for Jeff."
Who am I...where did I come from and what am I "trying" to do....are common and legitimate questions. Fear not, I tell you...for, I am "just" a Jeff Bates fan who believes that Jeff doesn't get the "coverage" or exposure, he should get. I wanna help.
I can't solve world problems, create world peace or get Jeff an extension on his contract with his label but, I'll tell you what I can do.
I can put another "hit" in the online search engines for him, I can post pictures, stories and provide some sort of useful and positive information for those who may be "searching" for information. I can do something, be it.. a little or a lot, to spread the word and that's what I am trying to do.
I only want to be a part of the, " Rally for Jeff Bates" campaign. I am not trying to corner the market, be the biggest and best anything or start any online "hostile takeovers.
That is NOT what I am about. What I AM about is...supporting Jeff.
I believe with all my heart that I can help Jeff, more than I could ever hurt him and THAT, is what I am trying to do. It's not about ME or what I hope to "get" out of this site. It's about supporting a person and cause, I believe in. That person... is Jeff Bates and the cause is preservation and restoration of REAL country music.
Simply put, I want to help make a difference, in some small way. I want Jeff to get everything good and decent, he deserves as an artist and the kind, caring individual he is.
It's a simple mission with no hidden motives, bad intentions or hard-feelings in mind or motion. I believe in Jeff and I want to do my fair share to help others come to know him, meet some of his fans and hopefully ...gain a few more fans for Jeff ,before it's all said and done.
